Shinaka

Learning the Shinakata Skill

I trained for many long hours with the Brotherhood Master, to learn the Shinakata. My ability with the twin swords is now without question. I must simply practice until my full skill becomes active.

Shinakata Skill Description

The ancient art of Shinakata is the skill of fighting with a pair of sharp blades. Originally, many hundreds of years ago, the skill was commonly practiced by monks of the
SpiritMountains, but is considered something of a lost art in these modern times. The skill has been kept alive by the guild known as the Brotherhood of the Silent Pond and can only be learnt by members through the guild. Those proficient in the skill can use the Shinaka Blades to their full potential.

Purchase of Shinaka

I purchased a set of Shinaka from the Brotherhood Monks at a cost of 200 GPs. They welcomed me as a fellow Brother and wished me well in my pursuit of wisdom and enlightenment.

The Shinaka

"The Shinaka is an ancient name for a pair of sharp fighting blades used by Monks who have the Shinaka skill. In fact, any monk, skilled or not, can use the Shinaka, but only those with the skill can use them to their true full potential. If the Shinaka are equipped while the defence hand is empty they are considered to be both being used. If the defence hand has something else in it, chances to hit are halved.
