Monasteries (By Ed)

I haven't seen this mentioned before, so I thought I'd detail what
I've learned from the Monastery on one of my estates.

To build a Monastery, an estate needs to hire a Sensei (50 Gp) and
then convert him into a Monastery, which costs 50 Gp a turn to run.
As a random background event, the Monastery will occasionally
generate 100 Gp in income from unseen wandering monks, but this is pretty infrequent.

Monk PCs can stand on the Monastery and issue the L 10 order to train with the sensei. Issuing the order doesn't seem to consume any gold
or experience. I issued the order several times this turn, the first
time I've tried it; the following results came through:

L 10 0
I worked hard with the sensei and although I have not improved this
time, I can feel that my inner self is fulfilled by such rigorous
training.

L 10 0
I have enjoyed training with the Sensei although I have not been able
to grasp all he has to teach me.

L 10 0
I have enjoyed training with the Sensei although I have not been able
to grasp all he has to teach me.

L 10 0
I worked hard with the sensei and felt like I was improving, but my
skills have not shown a remarkable increase.

L 10 0
I have not gotten any better despite much hard work with the sensei.

L 10 0
I have enjoyed training with the Sensei although I have not been able
to grasp all he has to teach me.

L 10 0
I trained successfully under the tutelage of the Sensei.

My monk now has the following new skill:

Skill: Sensei Training 1
Sensei training is a skill taught by monk masters known as Sensei.
These skills are mostly only valid when bare hands attacks are used
as they are all related to unarmed defence and attack.

It doesn't seem to have gone through a pre-skill phase, or consumed
any gold or XP.

From what I can tell, the training this turn, including the new
skill, have given my monk +1 max HP, +1 Attack and +1 Normal Defence.
