Guild Benefits
Members of the Guild gain two special items, the Silent Pond Kimono (a cotton garment 'specially designed for martial combat. The Kimono also magical/spiritual properties whose origins are not truly understood, but very welcome) and the Silent Pond Bo Staff (a melee weapon that members of the Brotherhood can use to great avail.)
Silent Pond Kimono
This simple cotton garment is worn by monks who are members of the Brotherhood of the Silent Pond. It is a very special item which has been designed specifically for martial combat and defence. While worn the monk gains a +5 bonus to normal defence. The Kimono is also magically or spiritually enchanted to give a +5 bonus to the wielders maximum health, although this bonus is immediately lost if the Kimono is unequipped (which can be dangerous if you are badly wounded). Like most guild items, the Kimono cannot ever be dropped, transferred or sold. If the wearer dies the Kimono dissolves into dust.
Silent Pond Bo Staff
The Bo Staff is a weapon made by the Brotherhood of the Silent Pond for their members to use. A long flexible length of birch, perfectly-balanced for a trained monk to use in spiralling patterns of attack and defence. It equips to the attack hand and makes a damage of 2 to 4 points. Due to its range and swift motion, the use of a Bo Staff also grants +2 to normal defence and +5 to attack. Like most guild items, the Bo Staff cannot ever be dropped, transferred or sold. If the wearer dies the Bo Staff dissolves into dust.
